Omkisa Retreats
FAQs

What can I expect from an Omkisa retreat?

Omkisa retreats are all about exploring, reconnecting with nature, relaxing, and above all having fun! We believe the value of life lies in experiences. We’re heading out into this big world together, building a sisterhood that binds us to one another through shared adventures. We are bold, beautiful, and occasionally a little bit bizarre. So, never fear. You will fit right in.

Come along on a trip you’ll talk about for years to come.

I am thinking of traveling solo. Are these retreats good for solo travelers?

This is the place to do it. We’re here to make sure you feel welcome and included in all of our retreat adventures and experiences. Each retreat group becomes its own unique community. And we also respect each other's need for alone time, so we build in time for a little R&R on your own.

What is included in the retreat cost ?

Each retreat is unique, but all trips include lodging, plus the welcome and departure dinners. To learn specifics about what is included on each retreat, please see the itinerary for that particular trip.

What if I have dietary restrictions ?

We believe part of exploring a new international culture is through its food. And we also understand that people have allergies and food sensitivities. While we choose restaurants and catering that offer vegetarian options, we can’t guarantee each location will be able to accommodate every type of restricted diet. If you have concerns, let us know and we can all work together to see if there will be options that work for you!

Do I need a passport to travel overseas?

Yes, most countries require you to travel with a passport. If you have a passport, make sure it is current. Different countries have different requirements of “current” as well. In many countries, your passport must not expire for at least 6 months after your return date to the USA. Should you need to renew your passport, please note that it can take up to 6 months for a passport renewal.

What about a Deposit?

A nonrefundable deposit will be required at the time of your booking. We do offer different payment options (see retreat page for detailed breakdown). The full payment is due no later than 60 days before the 1st day of the retreat starts, regardless of the payment option you choose.

What if I have to cancel within 30 days before the starting date of the retreat I booked?

We understand that life circumstances can happen and can interfere with your travel plans. Unfortunately due to the detailed logistics and upfront costs of these events we have a strict no refund policy regardless of the situation.

However, we do require all participants to purchase health and travel cancellation insurance. This will protect your investment if something like an illness stands in the way of your attending the retreat.

You will be able to access the full details of our Cancellation Policy once you start the booking process.
